- Ensure timely completion of tasks related to month end close.
- Perform monthly balancing of G/L accounts and bank account reconciliation.
- Support and assist with monthly operational and financial reporting.
- Perform monthly analysis (Sales, P&L, Balance Sheet) by G/L account, cost center, department, catching mis-postings and performing correcting entries.
- Help to maintain and standardize balance sheet account reconciliations, for reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Internal reporting and cyclical requirements, plus government and industry reports and filings
- Support Plant Controller, including G/L analysis and journal entries.
- Help to lead efforts to automate and standardize accounting support among Roofing divisions, and according with current accounting standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- 5+ years experience in accounting, general ledger and/or financial reporting.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Contract accounting and billing would be a plus.
- Strength with financial systems a must
- Knowledge of SAP/BI (Business Intelligence) / AFO (Analysis for Office) desired
- Must have excellent organization and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to interact with and support all levels of management.
- Excellent technical skills (SAP, Microsoft Office, Internet Forms & Filings).
- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS.
