    defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Chula Vista, CA area.

    This role entails managing engineering and project tasks for process improvement projects, emphasizing aerospace industry experience and project management proficiency.

    Contractsalary: $ per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:Maintain Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) project plan, tracking tasks, hours, and percent completion.

    Provide weekly critical path status updates for each test.
    Update IMS daily with progress from daily meetings.
    Update IMS tasks weekly with Program Test Engineers (PTEs) and design inputs.
    Perform monthly earned value checks.
    Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and resolving issues.
    Write Statements of Work (SOW), test plans, and test reports.
    Coordinate panel/part manufacturing and testing with suppliers and internal/external test houses.
    Support purchasing activities through requisitions and invoice approvals.
    Support contracting activities with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Internal Work Authorizations (IWAs).Screen related technologies and suppliers.
    Coordinate with other functional organizations such as Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, Operations, and Aftermarket.
    Identify and address project problems, communicate critical path, analyze data, and develop solutions.
    Communicate and present to senior leadership.
    Ensure novel ideas and implementations are protected using applicable Intellectual Property processes.
    Perform other duties as required.


    Basic Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), with 5 years of relevant experience ORAdvanced Degree in a related field with 3 years of experience.

    Project Management experience with technical projects.
    Experience with MS Project.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Aerospace industry experience.
    Agile software experience.

    Continuous Improvement experience (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, ACE, or CORE).ERP experience, particularly with SAP.Aerospace experience with metallic materials, processing, and testing.

    Knowledge of aerospace applications of aluminum, titanium, and Inconel alloys.
