    We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at Clatsop Care Retirement Village in Astoria, OR. This is a full-time or part-time position with flexible shifts.

    About the Role

    As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, including assisting with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, bathing, feeding, grooming, dressing, transferring, and other errands. You will also provide companionship and emotional support, advocate for their needs, and encourage independence.

    You will make sure that patients are mentally stimulated, physically active, and well-nourished. Your role requires patience, empathy, and a clear understanding of appropriate professional boundaries. If you have these qualities and meet the following requirements, we encourage you to apply:

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Current Oregon License as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

    Current CPR and First Aid Training or ability to obtain CPR/First Aid cards within 30 days of hire.

    Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    • Able to ambulate, stoop, bend, squat, and move a maximum of 60 pounds during routine care of an assigned group of residents for an 8 hour shift.
    • Visual and Auditory activity within normal limits with or without prosthetics.
    • Frequent walking and transport of residents.
    • Push and pull wheelchairs and other equipment.

    Must function independently, have flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.

    Salary Description:

    $17 to $22 Hourly
