1.ReviewbackgroundinformationavailableinJTSandtheyouth'shealthrecord.
2.Interviewyouthtoobtainpsychosocialinformation,evaluatementalstatus/currentfunctioning,assessriskfactorsandassessneedformentalhealthservices.
3.Integrateinformationfromrecordreview,interviewofyouthandstaffobservationstocompleteadiagnosticevaluationinJTSthatincludespertinentpsychosocialinformation,clinicalformulation,multiaxialdiagnosisandplans/recommendationsfortreatment.
4.Communicatesresultsofdiagnosticevaluationsintreatmentteammeetingsandwithothermentalhealthstaffwhoareinvolvedintheyouth'streatment.

1.Provideclinicalsupervisionthatfocusesonsupport,developmentandmonitoringofmentalhealthstaff'sclinicalworkwithyouth.Thepurposeofclinicalsupervisionisto(1)protectthewelfareofyouthreceivingmentalhealthservices;(2)ensurethatsuperviseesfunctionwithintheirlevelofcompetenceandscopeoftraining;(3)facilitate the developmentofclinicalknowledgeandskills;and(4)monitorthequalityoftreatmentservicesprovidedtoyouth.
2.Supervisionsessionsarescheduled,structured,anddocumentedinasupervisionrecord.

1.Reviewsandapprovesallmentalhealthassessmentsconductedbymentalhealthstaff.
2.ConductsamonthlyauditofsuicidepreventionandspecialmanagementplanprocessesusingtoolsandguidanceissuedbytheOfficeofBehavioralHealthServices.
3.ConductsaClinicalreviewofmentalhealthdocumentationonabimonthlyscheduletoevaluatequalitativeaspectsofmentalhealthdocumentation.
4.Providesclinicalleadershipinthefacility'smentalhealthqualityassuranceprogram.
5.Collectsandanalyzesdataasneededtoassess the deliveryofmentalhealthservicesandusesthisinformationtodevelopplansforimprovingservices.

1.Providesdirecttreatmentservicestoyouthasneededusinggroup,individualorfamilymodalitiesinaccordancewiththeyouth'streatmentplan.
2.Providesconsultationand/orcrisisinterventionforyouthwhopresentemergentissuesthatposeapotentialrisktothemselvesorothers.
3.DocumentsallservicesinatimelymannerinaccordancewithDJJpolicyandapplicableprofessionalstandards.

1.Providesclinicalconsultationandguidancetothementalhealthtreatmentteamthroughparticipationinweeklyteammeetings.
2.Takesaleadroleinthedevelopmentandmonitoringofspecialmanagementplansforyouthwhopresentsignificant/persistentriskforsuicide,non-suicidalself-harm,limitedabilitytocopewitheverydaystressorsinasecurefacilityorwhoareatriskofbeingvictimized.
3.Providescaseconsultationandeducationtoin-servicetrainingprogramsforinstitutionalsecurityandnon-securitystaff.
4.Identifiestrainingneedsofinstitutionalsecurityandnon-securitystaff.
5.Preparesandpresentsappropriateinstructionalmaterialthatmeets the levelandneedsoftheparticipants.
Psychologist Preferred Qualifications are:
1.-Licensed with the Georgia State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
2.-Experience working with adolescents in residential treatment or secure juvenile justice settings
3.-Experience providing clinical supervision to clinical staff
4.-Training/experience in trauma-informed treatment approaches.
