    This position is for a Systems Engineer-IT to support training systems development

    Positions are located in East Orlando, FL at the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Training and Logistics (TLS), Lake Underhill facility

    The Work As a key member of our Systems Engineering team, you will:

    • Lead and work with a team of Systems and Integration and Test Engineers to define System, Software, and Hardware Requirements necessary for the design, implementation, and evolution TLS products
    • Experience in a systems engineering role performing tasks such as: trade studies, CONOPS, systems analysis, requirements development and verification, Interface Control Document (ICD) and test procedure development.
    • Maintain System Interface Control Documentation baseline.
    • Perform hardware and software diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance on multiple IT components
    • Manage system integrity, availability, and cyber compliance of networked systems
    • Assist in the development of solutions across components of systems through design, integration, implementation and support
    • Participate in phases of software and hardware development, leveraging our DevOps engineering processes and procedures while performing respective engineering activities
    • General understanding of systems engineering lifecycle
    • Be a member of Integrated Product Team responsible for the scope and associated cost and schedule
    • Interface with cross functional teams and customer on regular basis to effectively execute the scope and participating in cross functional Agile teams (HW, SE, I&T)
    • Have the ability to travel domestically (up to 30% travel)

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's level degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other related engineering degree, with 5 years of relevant professional work experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
    • Due to the Government Security clearance requirement U.S
    citizenship is a requirement for consideration.


    • Ability to produce engineering level documentation for system implementation
    • Experience with developing and troubleshooting using the PowerShell scripting language.
    • Working knowledge of Windows based systems and Microsoft Products
    • Proficiency in using Linux operating systems (RedHat and SLES) experience.

    Desired Skills:

    • DoD IAT Level II certification (i.e
    Sec+ CE)


    • Experience in Systems Engineering or Complex Systems Integration & Test, and Model-Based Engineering (MBE) processes, principles, and tools.
    • Experience working on a team or coursework in systems engineering and maintaining requirements.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of highly-virtualized VMWare environments (ESXi) and VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) for automated configuration/updates
    • Experience with one or more of the following; Atlassian tool suite, Docker, Ansible, GitLab, Nexus, Kubernetes, Vagrant, Packer, Terraform, shell scripting to schedule and automate processes
    • Experience with Excel, Agile, JIRA/Confluence and IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM).
    • Knowledgeable in information systems networking

    Security Clearance Statement:
    This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
    Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
