Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the Associate Accounting Analyst performs professional accounting duties in the Cash Receipts Unit.
The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining accounting records, procedures, and performing monthly bank reconciliations; Automated License Data System (ALDS); mitigation; and uncleared collections reconciliation for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW).
This position reviews entries for accuracy; completes the Accounts Receivable (AR) Upload; provides training to program staff; attend meetings when necessary; actively participates in review, analysis, and audit of Fish Landing records; research and provide solutions and analyze the most complex issues regarding cash receipts.
This incumbent performs all tasks in accordance with Accounting Services Branch (ASB), Governor's Budget, Department of Finance (DOF) rules and regulations, State Controller's Office (SCO) policies, California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) policies, State Administrative Manual (SAM), and state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
