General Manager

Emmons Roofing & Siding – Residential Division

Emmons Roofing is seeking a driven, operationally strong General Manager to lead and scale our residential roofing and siding division. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for operational excellence, financial performance, team development, and customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a results-oriented leader who can strengthen systems, drive profitability, build accountability, and position the company for sustained growth.

This role reports directly to ownership and will oversee daily operations while helping shape long-term strategic direction.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership

Direct and oversee all residential roofing and siding operations in conjunction with the operations manager.
Improve and impliment operational efficiency, scheduling, job costing, and field performance
Maintain a strong culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism

Financial Management

Oversee budgeting, cost control, job profitability, and financial reporting
Monitor margins and implement improvements to increase gross and net profitability
Work closely with bookkeeping and administrative staff to ensure accurate invoicing and payroll processes

Team Leadership & Development

Directly manage two customer service representatives and a bookkeeper
Co-manage field production teams alongside the Operations Manager
Recruit, develop, and evaluate team members
Foster a performance-driven culture with clear expectations and accountability

Customer Experience & Reputation

Lead customer service strategy and handle escalated situations when necessary
Strengthen relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and communication

Strategic Growth

Collaborate with ownership on initiatives to increase market share and operational scalability
Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and team structure
Contribute to marketing and growth strategies as needed

Qualifications

Proven leadership experience in construction, roofing, exterior trades, or similar industries
Strong operational management background with demonstrated ability to improve efficiency and profitability
Financial acumen including budgeting, cost control, and performance analysis
Experience managing office staff and field production teams
Strong organizational skills, including CRM oversight and administrative process management
Payroll and basic accounting familiarity
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
A strong work ethic and a continuous improvement mindset
