    Physical Therapy Assistant Alexandria, VA
    We are offering a dynamic opportunity for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our practice in Alexandria, VA.

    Ideally, we are looking for a Physical therapy assistant who is self-motivated with a willingness to learn, has a passion for helping patients who have vestibular, balance, neurological and fall risk issues, someone who can work effectively and carry out a skilled treatment plan in our outpatient balance and vestibular rehab setting.

    The incoming Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for treating patients with a variety of muscle, joint, and neurological conditions.

    The role also includes providing patient care, rehabilitation, and plans for home management.

    Responsibilities:
    Assist with skilled physical therapy treatment in accordance with the physician orders, referrals, prescriptions, current standards of care, and by assessing and interpreting evaluations, records and test results of patients

    Encourage continuation of therapeutic plan by assisting with designing home exercise regimens, recommending assistive equipment and follow-up programs that improve the patient's overall health.

    Ensure smooth and timely patient flow in accordance with scheduled appointment times
    Promptly and thoroughly document and maintain clinical and administrative records, including but not limited to, daily notes, weekly reports, initial evaluations, treatment progress and responses, and discharge summaries
    Maintain confidentiality of patient personal health information in accordance with HIPAA compliance
    Assist with implementing outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation-setting treatment plans

    Requirements:
    Completion of a PTA program
    Current PTA license in VA
    1+ year(s) of outpatient neuro/ortho center or vestibular rehab experience preferred

    Schedule:
    Full time (Monday -Friday)

    Salary (range):

    $30-$35/hr
