- Conduct investigation of motor vehicle collisions and incidents

- BS Degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), with a focus in highway geometrics, traffic engineering, and/or construction management with a focus on highway construction projects
- Prior engineering experience
- Prior experience in Forensic Engineering dealing with collision analysis is a plus
- ACTAR or other industry certifications preferred
- Vehicle design and/or maintenance experience a plus
- Licensed Professional Engineer with the ability to license in other states if necessary (NCEES record holder preferred)
- Valid Drivers License in good standing, demonstrating safe driving habits, and capable of being insured by our company policy.
- Must be able to pass a background check as required for the position
- Pay: $75,000 - $150,000. Pay is commensurate on individual's experience, education, skills, and abilities

Description
The role of a Forensic Engineer within the Transportation and Collision Analysis group involves independent and collaborative work with the Forensic Engineering team, investigative fieldwork, and analysis to determine the root-cause related to motor vehicle collisions or incident events. The Forensic Engineer will take a hands-on approach to engineering, working in the field and the office.

This is a full-time position. Some flexibility in hours is permitted, but s/he must be available during the standard work hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

This position is a combination of fieldwork, travel-related work, and sedentary work. An employee is regularly required to drive, stand, sit, walk, reach, type, talk, hear, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds. An employee may also be required to traverse wooded and/or uneven terrain, enter structures, use ladders, walk on roofs, enter small spaces, and work in various weather conditions.
Travel
Regular travel will be required as a part of the Forensic Engineer job. Some periodic overnight travel may be required.
