    Glen-Gery Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Brickworks Limited. Brickworks Limited ("The Group") is a large Australian-listed group of companies. The Group has been in operation since the early 1900s, has a market capitalization exceeding $2.5 billion, and operates across 3 core business segments: Building Products, Land & Development, and Investments. The Group employs more than 2,000 FTE employees and operates nationally across Australia, recently acquiring Glen-Gery Corporation to add operations in the USA.

    Founded in 1890, Glen-Gery Corporation is one of the nation's largest brick manufacturers and operates eight brick manufacturing facilities and one manufactured stone facility. Glen-Gery products are sold nationally through a network of over 500 distributors as well as in Canada.

    We are currently in search of interns who have successfully completed courses and project work closely related to "on the floor" manufacturing processes and who wish to pursue a career in production management and workforce supervision. Ideally, these interns will be entering their junior or senior year and have knowledge and/or experience in some of the following areas:

    • manufacturing management and factory layout
    • equipment trouble shooting procedures
    • preventive/predictive maintenance
    • PLC installation and maintenance
    • CAD
    • production scheduling/inventory control
    • production cost analysis and material management
    • process improvement analysis
    Interns will be integrated into an existing team of Glen-Gery associates based on the primary functional area of the intern's assignment.The internship may also include a rotation of assignments and concentration in project work through one or more of the various department functions such as Technical Services, Quality, Production, and Safety. The intern will receive their direction and assignments from a designated manager in the primary functional area. This manager will be the primary contact throughout the assignment.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Sophomore or higher status in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or manufacturing related college major.
    • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point
    • Must be a self-starter that works well in team environment with good communication skills
    • Must be able to work in a plant environment with some degree of flexibility in work hours
