    Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in support of the Courts proposal. This role will be located in San Antonio, TX.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical expertise and guidance in the architecture, design, implementation, support, operation, and maintenance of database management systems (DBMS) such as Informix, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server.
    • Perform data movement, troubleshoot issues, and write scripts to perform common database tasks.
    • Maintain complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection, and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
    • Perform installs, configuration, migrations, restores, and monitor the security and performance of the systems.
    • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations on DBMS concepts.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience or commensurate experience with Database Administration.
    • Full knowledge of the job.
    • Moderate understanding of the general aspects of the job and its application.
    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
    • Demonstrated MySQL database configuration and administration experience.
    • Demonstrated Microsoft SQL Server database analytical and decision-making skills.
