- Install, program, and maintain fire alarm systems in compliance with local, state, and national codes.
- Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems, ensuring their proper functioning.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire alarm equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on various fire protection systems.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Keep accurate records of service and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members and project managers on installations and project.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent, vocational or technical training in fire alarm systems is preferred.
- Relevant certification or state license.
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and associated equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
