- Education and Licensure:
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in NY
- Experience:
- Minimum of [1] year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on pain management.
- Experience in assessing and managing various types of pain, including acute and chronic conditions.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficient in developing and implementing comprehensive pain management plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- Professionalism:
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy and compassion.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
- Obtain complete health histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations
- Prescribe and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for chronic and acute pain.
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding goals of pain management therapies compliance with therapeutic regimens, medication side effects.
- Caring for patients with chronic pain.
- Prescribing medications appropriate to treatment plans as well as checking PMP for prescriber safety.
