    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    We are currently seeking to hire a Principal Hydrogeologist to support our ongoing work and spearhead our growth into the Western U.S.

    This individual will appreciate working with world class experts and contribute to ongoing/complex environmental projects within the mining, energy, water, and federal/state/local government planning sectors.

    The position is intended to be full-time with salary and benefits and is intended to be aligned and/or based with our Salt Lake City operations.

    This a full-time, salaried position that may sometimes work more than 40 hours per week and require frequent travel throughout the United States and potentially international.


    Role and Responsibilities include:

    • Drive client and business development within the mining, energy, water, and land use planning sectors.
    • Focus on increasing penetration with existing clients, and strategically capturing new clients who align with company business capabilities and objectives.
    • Work with our management team to establish practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to enhance organizational capabilities and opportunities for growth.
    • Develop and manage project and program engagements, including planning, client relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
    • Foster teamwork, innovation, and excellence in a problem-solving environment.
    • Provide leadership, motivate team members, and ensure they meet project goals and milestones.
    • Manage and direct project teams by providing communication, coordination, and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives; ensure project scope or work, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood.
    • Oversee and sell related work and staff throughout the company.
    • Serve as project representative with client, constructor, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project review, and other meetings and correspondence.
    • Maintain ongoing communication with client, adjusting as necessary to comply with client needs within contractual obligations, or adjusting project deliverables to meet client and company needs.
    • Provide ongoing recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring to entry and midlevel staff to promote employee development.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    Applicants must have:

    • A bachelor's degree in hydrology, natural resources, environmental sciences, M.S. Preferred.
    • Extensive experience within the environmental consulting industry, with a minimum of 15 years of senior leadership experience and a proven track record in the mining, energy, and land use planning sectors.
    • Drive to develop business, lead and mentor team members, and position the company to continue to align with clients and penetrate Western U.S. markets.
    • Strong problem solving and emotional intelligence skills.
    • Ability to work well both in teams and independently.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills are required.
    • A clean driving record and ability to travel regularly to project locations.
    • Ability to participate in pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
