Job summary
The Chemical Technician supports daily manufacturing operations by stocking incoming chemical inventory ensuring operations has adequate supply proper handling and logging of hazardous waste and oversight of waste handling equipment.- Safely remove and accurately log and label hazardous and non-hazardous chemical wastes
- Follow all safety procedures SDS requirements environmental regulations Work with Health Safety Environment department to ensure facility wide chemical safety Work with engineers technicians to ensure process chemicals are adequately stocked Work with engineers technicians to ensure process chemicals tanks pass quality checks Operate monitor facility equipment such as reactors tanks mixers pumps filtration systems Troubleshooting (of)chemical(waste)equipment Perform equipment cleaning changeovers preventive maintenance Store handle work Supply Chain manage inventory (of)Chemical(materials Support continuous improvement yield optimization housekeeping (5S) initiatives Assist general facility maintenance as required Help support all regulatory permits hazardous waste manifests stormwater prevention other environment related programs Work HSE recommend process product safety features reduce employees exposure chem physical biological hazards)
