- Detailed design for transmission or distribution system protection to include relays, communication and monitoring systems, panel meters, control house panels, cables and associated wiring materials
- AC and DC schematics and breaker controls
- Development of operating and elementary diagrams
- Development and review of protection schemes and devices
- Development and issuing of temporary (mobile) transformer settings
- Conducting electric system modeling and short circuit analyses
- Determination of equipment interrupting ratings
- Relay coordination studies
- Civil structural and construction design, engineered shoring plans, engineered traffic plans
- Distribution electrical design (including but not limited to one-lines, construction events)
- Evaluation of electrical systems for necessary upgrades for interconnection
- Specification and procurement of equipment and material
- System Protection & Control (SP&C) Design including the creation of SP&C construction drawing packages and the procurement of materials
- Provide engineering assistance during testing and commissioning
- Three (3) years or more of Power System Engineering experience with a minimum of 4+ years specifically focus on design for protection and control (P & C)
- Bachelors Degree (BS) in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering
- IEC61850 standards knowledge
- Knowledge and experience with ProjectWise Drawings
- Experience using AutoCAD and PLS-CADD
- Experience writing design criterion and installation specifications for projects
- Skills in developing single-line switching and protection diagrams as well as three-line and DC schematic diagrams
