    This innovative program is for individuals 55 years or older, who are living with chronic illness, or disabilities and need coordinated medical care to continue living as independently as possible in their home and community.

    The healthcare teams at St.

    Paul's PACE provide a hands-on approach coordinating medical, social, and home care services so individuals no longer need to manage their medical care alone.


    Job Summary:


    Under the supervision of the Health Plan Director, the HIS Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, overseeing and managing all aspects of both internal and external Health Information System applications within St.

    Paul's PACE. Oversees the Medical Records team, EHR support and clinical coding protocols. Ensures the EHR meets the state and federal data reporting requirements and the St. Paul's PACE compliance program privacy protocols.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    Education:
    Bachelor degree in business, informatics or health information management preferred

    Experience:


    A minimum of 3-5 years of Health Information Systems Management experience with a strong background in performing qualitative analysis and technical evaluation of medical records; abstracting and coding.


    Skills and Knowledge:
    Knowledge of administrative functions, principles, procedures and practices of health information management;
    Fundamentals of human anatomy and physiology; medical terminology; current trends and developments in health Information management methods and procedures;

    Process knowledge of pertinent federal, state and local medical record reporting requirements and laws affecting medical care activities; hospital procedures; and uses and limitations of primary and secondary records, indexes and classification systems.

    Demonstrated ability to analyze, organize, and manage workflow and procedures
    Working knowledge of quality improvement and cost containment systems
    Organized and attention to detail and quality
    Ability to foster collaborative working relationships
    Ability to make objective, effective decisions
    Ability to prioritize workload with strong recall and recognition skills
