    The Children's Medical Group (CMG) Metro Regional Medical Director is responsible for administrative and clinical leadership in the designated region of primary care clinics within CMG. This role serves as an administrative connection for providers and a key partner with the appropriate directors and practice managers to achieve identified CMG operational goals and objectives. As Metro Region Medical Director, this individual will report directly to the President of CMG and collaborate with the Vice President of Primary Care for administrative and operational matters. The medical director shares joint responsibility with the appropriate regional operational director, as a Dyad partner, to support identified outcome results in provider and staff engagement, patient/family experience, and budget and financial performance targets. This role also assures that quality of care standards are maintained in the clinical setting and is a support to providers within the region. The individual selected for this position will be an enthusiastic, demonstrate a history of delivering on priorities and have high emotional intelligence. Responsibilities for the position include:

    Medical Leadership

    • Collaborates with Dyad Operational Director and other CMG administrative leaders
    • Responsible and accountable for key practice performance measures and participates in identified improvement opportunities and plans within the areas of clinical quality, safety, people, culture and finances.
    • Serves as a key communications link by regularly meeting with clinic and provider teams within the region to inform and receive information relevant to the services delivered to children and families.
    • Collaborates with the CMG professional staff and other leaders within CMG and across the CW system in reviewing and developing procedures, practice improvements and addressing other concerns.
    • Collaborates with appropriate CMG committees and the CW medical staff for input and action related to provider clinical performance and professionalism expectations.
    • Spends at least one and no more than two days/week performing relevant clinical work.

    Supervision and Mentorship

    • Provide guidance and supervision, fostering a cross-team collaborative environment.
    • Mentor and develop clinical leaders within the clinical staff, by supporting the professional development of providers and staff.
    • Models behaviors that reflect an inclusive, diverse and equitable workplace.
    • Dedicates at least one-half day per week rounding in designated clinical sites with the goal of visiting every regional site at least twice annually.

    Qualifications

    • Supports and consistently demonstrates Children's Wisconsin values in words and actions.
    • Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to Children's Wisconsin mission, vision, At Our Best culture and strategic efforts. Has the ability to represent the organization and serve consumers in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the organization and its services
    • Must be credentialed and in good standing with the Children's Wisconsin Medical Staff.
    • Must possess appropriate certification in the field of specialty (Board Certification or similar professional qualifications).
    • Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Wisconsin.
    • Consistently demonstrates professional competence, dependability and medical and personal ethics.
    • Exhibits interpersonal communication skills necessary to work collaboratively with Children's Wisconsin personnel and management staff as well as providers, parents/family members and the community and its leaders.
    • Demonstrates good listening skills, willingness to consider alternative viewpoints and encourage feedback from all team members.
    • Able to respectfully strive for alignment among multiple constituencies using effective negotiation and persuasive skills.

    Compensation and Benefits
