    General Purpose: Responsible for installation, maintenance, and management of mid-range systems, servers, network components, cabling, internet connectivity, printers, and PCs, ensuring maximum up-time and Credit Union service levels. This position also assists in daily computer operations and Help Desk activities.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities
    1. Perform scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and replacement of hardware and software to ensure capacity for future growth.
    2. Configuring backup systems and ensuring that daily back-ups are performed and tested.
    3. Provide for and monitor service capacity, availability, and security.
    4. Installing and configuring virtual server infrastructure running VMware.
    5. Create, maintain, configure, decommission, or transition to cloud, on-prem server infrastructure.
    6. Manage, maintain, and configure a Netapp SAN and its connectivity to the server infrastructure.
    7. Manage Microsoft Azure environment including Active Directory, Email, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, or other future cloud services as determined by the Infrastructure Manager.
    8. Manage on-prem services such as DNS, DHCP, Directory Services and Group Policies.
    9. Act as Project Manager for infrastructure projects including scheduling recurring project meetings, communicating to project teams, Performing ROI analysis and scheduling activities among the project stakeholders.
    Other Duties/Responsibilities
    1. Daily monitoring of the computer network, using SNMP and other tools to ensure system availability and peak performance.
    2. Review error logs and performance monitoring reports. Track and document problems and errors and follow-up to ensure resolution.
    3. Maintain all procedures documentation and update when required to reflect changes to operations procedures.
    4. Perform regular archiving and purging of systems in compliance with retention standards.
    5. Recommend and develop new IT procedures and systems to automate manual processes and provide more effective IT operations. Capacity planning and analysis for all computer systems.
    6. Provide formal and informal technical training to staff in the operation of computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
    7. Create and maintain a server lifecycle schedule for the planned upgrade or replacement of systems as they reach end of life or end of service.
    8. Follow approved change management process.
    9. Perform other duties as may be assigned by Infrastructure Manager.
    Job Knowledge
    1. Working knowledge of VMware, Microsoft AD, Azure, Windows Server, Group Policies and DNS, DHCP, LDAP in a Microsoft Windows Server environment.
    2. Working knowledge of basic network devices including subnets, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless technologies.

    Job Qualifications (Education/Experience)

    Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred. Five years experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable. Formal training should be supplemented with continuing education.

    Job requires limited physical effort. It is primarily a desk assignment. Work within a highly structured and closely supervised environment. Ability to function in a fast-paced area. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Work creates normal fatigue daily. Work creates moderate stress during certain periods during daily routine. The job calls for a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations. The job requires a degree of attention to details.

    Occasional travel to one of BHFCU's branch locations or attendance at community events may be required. This position has the option of a hybrid work schedule, with at least three days per week in the office. An assessment of the remote work environment must be completed prior to a remote work plan being developed.
