Description
Our Texas based client is looking for a Civil Water Resources Division Manager with H&H experience.Responsibilities:
Plan and implement development initiatives within the department. Achieve company vision and goals as established during the planning process.
Promote the acquisition and retention of clients for the company by implementing business development and operating activities via the company system to meet and exceed the expectations of the clients.
Be a team leaderProvide mentorship and direction to a staff of 8-10 employees
Manage complex projects in a professional manner
Communicate with client and manage expectations
Provide QA/QC of projects
Delegate authority and responsibility
Manage workload and resources to complete work on time and under budget
Motivate Division Staff through positive interaction and communication
Assist in the hiring, selection, and retention of superior employees
Participate in the planning and preparation of budges for the Division
Prepare RFQ proposals
Prepare project scope of work, budget and schedule
Client and business development
Develop business development
Must have good interpersonal as well as oral and written communication skills
Manage the department to a billable rate of 85%
Coordinate staff sharing with other divisions when appropriate to efficiently accomplish the project work of the division

Interview, hire, train, and terminate employees as needed
Approve timesheets and expense reports

Qualifications:
Masters of Science, Civil Engineering OR Bachelors of Science, Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer - State of Texas OR the ability to become licensed within six (6) months
10+ years in H&H for a mid-sized private engineering firm
5+ years management experience
Registered Texas PE
Project Management
Knowledge of H&H software
Experience with drainage studies, design projects and construction phase services
Working knowledge of XP STORM 1D/2D, InfoWorks ICM 1D/2D, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and MS Office
Experience with HCFCD, TxDOT, and other municipalities (Cities, Counties, Drainage Districts, etc.)
Drainage Studies:
Impact Mitigation Studies, Land Development Projects, FEMA CLOMR, LOMR Studies, Channel Improvements / Detention Basin Analyses, Master Drainage Plans, Watershed Studies, Roadway projects including Culvert/Bridge hydraulics and scour assessment.
Design Projects:
Work experience in design projects is required. Example projects include Channel Improvements, Detention Basins, Storm Sewer, and Culverts for private and public stormwater infrastructure clients.
Construction Phase Services
:
Experience with RFI's, minor design modifications, and submittals.
