Job Description

This biomedical research and development organization, is seeking an accomplished toxicologist to help lead their Toxicology Division.


Responsibilities:

• Supervision and oversight of technical staff.
• Provide scientific and administrative leadership to toxicology programs and divisional operations.
• Serve as Principal Investigator for government and industry programs in toxicology.
• Collaborate with scientists within and outside of the firm to perform interdisciplinary programs involving various materials.
• Mentor, develop, and motivate divisional staff to ensure effective project management and performance.
• Develop and implement short-term and long-term plans for divisional growth and to meet budgetary goals.
• Partner with the business development team to expand sponsorship of toxicology programs.

Knowledge & Skills

• Ph.

D. with 10+ years of experience as a study director/PI performing non-clinical, GLP-compliant toxicology studies, MS with 14+ years.

• DABT Board certification in toxicology preferred (acquiring DABT within 2 years of employment is required).
• Proven track record of extramural (government or commercial) research funding strongly preferred.
