    RN I/II/III - Ob/Gyn Oncology

    Position Summary:

    This role involves working as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Position Location:

    UTHealth Houston - Ob/Gyn Oncology (Southeast & Memorial City)

    Key Accountabilities:
    1. Provides high-quality patient care and customer service while promoting a positive and respectful environment.
    2. Adheres to the scope of practice established by the Nurse Practice Act and ensures the efficient operation of the clinic or unit.
    3. Uses systematic approaches to assess patient needs and develop plans of care that meet those needs.
    4. Implements plans of care within the scope of practice through assignment and monitoring of other nurses and delegation of tasks to unlicensed staff.
    5. Develops and implements teaching plans for patients concerning maintenance, promotion, and restoration of health.
    6. Evaluates patient response and outcomes to education and therapeutic interventions.
    7. Exercises judgment while coordinating care and referring patients to agencies or healthcare professionals for other services or transitions in care where indicated.
    8. Performs on-site and telephone triage using best practice guidelines and documentation to ensure patients receive the right level of care.
    9. Acts as a patient and healthcare advocate by maintaining a safe environment and promoting quality healthcare and services.
    10. Respects and maintains privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
    11. Adheres to standards of practice for professional nursing.
    12. Performs other duties as assigned.
    Certification/Skills:

    A current Registered Nurse Texas License is required, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
    Minimum Education:

    A Bachelor's degree in nursing, Associate's degree in nursing, or diploma from an accredited nursing school is required.
    Minimum Experience:

    No experience is necessary.
    Physical Requirements:

    The ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
