    Description

    The Testing Center Coordinator will facilitate daily Testing Center activities with general administrative responsibilities. This person must be able to work independently and efficiently hiring, training and managing part-time staff. They must build relationships across campus, and maintain a safe and secure testing environment supporting students and faculty. This position reports to the Testing Center Manager on the Ephraim campus.
    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor degree
    • Effective supervising, communication and interpersonal skills
      • Proficiency in using Microsoft office applications including Word, and Excel (spreadsheets)
    • Good organizational and time management skills
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Testing Center experience
    • Familiarity with testing procedures and protocols
    • Awareness of various testing formats, including multiple-choice, essay, and online exams
    • Ability to carefully follow testing procedures and accurately monitor students during exams
    • Capacity to address unexpected situations during exams, such as technical difficulties or student misconduct, while maintaining exam security
    • Ability to clearly communication with students regarding exam rules, instructions
    Major Responsibilities/Duties

    Testing Center Management
    • Manage the day-to-day operation of the testing center including scheduling faculty course exams, allocating resources, coordinating staffing assignments for test administration and proctoring of tests.
    • Analyze current policies, procedures and security protocols and make recommendations to the Manager of the Testing Services in Ephraim regarding possible improvements.
    • Enforce testing policies, procedures and security protocols.
    • Ensure compliance with specific faculty test parameters, and with any ADA accommodations.
    • Manage the operational budget.
    Staff Supervision
    • Recruit, train and supervise part-time student and non-student testing center staff.
    • Provide ongoing feedback, coaching and professional development to staff.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment promoting professionalism, teamwork and a commitment to excellence.
    Test Administration and Proctoring
    • Coordinate the administration of a wide variety of exams including placement tests, instructor course exams, standardized tests and state/national certification exams.
    • Schedule and proctor occasional testing for local students earning degrees at other colleges/universities.
    • Ensure proper enforcement of a securely proctored testing environment including training and supervision to prevent student testing misconduct and report and address misconduct issues.
    Student and Faculty Support
    • Serve as the main point of contact for students, faculty, staff and external audiences regarding testing procedures, accommodations, and scheduling.
    • Collaborate with campus ADA office and academic departments.
    Technology and Facilities Oversight
    • Manage and maintain testing center equipment.
    • Coordinate with IT support to troubleshoot technical issues.
    • Visualize, plan, and make recommendation to the Manager of Testing Services to implement new technologies, and equipment needs.
    Data Management and Reporting
    • Collect, analyze, and report testing data to the Ephraim Testing Center Manager to include
    Semester testing volumes and traffic, along with administering a yearly satisfaction survey to students and faculty.
    • Ensure that all tests and test data are secure and maintain student/faculty data confidentiality.
