We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Category Manager to be a lead within IT procurement, develop robust sourcing strategies, and lead cost-saving initiatives.
Position Overview:
As the Category Manager of IT Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end procurement process for all IT-related categories, products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT products and services, aligning with the company's overall objectives and business needs.
Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvement, and innovation.
Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and operations teams, to understand requirements and ensure alignment with procurement strategies.
Monitor supplier performance and compliance, addressing any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, optimize efficiency, and enhance the overall procurement function.
Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to proactively identify opportunities and risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
Proven Procurement Professional with up to 4 years experience in IT procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing within a large corporate environment.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally.
Demonstrated track record of driving cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
