Job description
Responsible for meeting with customers to identify loan needs, recommend appropriate products, analyze financial information, and manage a diverse loan portfolio. Generate new business through community networking and ensures all loan files and processes meet regulatory and policy requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess customer needs, recommend loan products, and guide applicants through the loan process.
- Conduct interviews, evaluate creditworthiness, analyze financial data, and approve loans within authority limits.
- Monitor repayment activity, follow up on delinquent accounts, and maintain confidentiality.
- Grow Consumer, Real Estate, Commercial, and Agricultural loan portfolios through networking and relationship building.
- Develop referral sources with real estate agents, builders, local businesses, and community organizations.
- Participate in community events, conduct educational workshops, and support marketing initiatives.
- Review and maintain accurate loan files and ensure compliance with state, federal, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with Loan Specialists and Central Loan Administration to prepare accurate loan documents.
- Provide reports, serve on loan committees, and stay current on industry trends and regulations.
- Cross-sell bank products and represent the bank at community and board meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Previous lending experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in evaluating financial statements, credit reports, and property appraisals to determine the viability of loan applications and make sound credit decisions.
- Previous networking and business development experience.
