    Position Details:

    Title: Business Development Manager

    Location: Based out of Elgin, IL

    Shift: Typically, day shift M – F

    Compensation: Starting base of $100K - $125K+ DOEQ with bonus plan (OTE is $160k - $200k+) based on performance

    Benefits: Full benefit package which includes Holiday pay, 401K, Medical and Dental, generous vacation (PTO) and room for advancement. Company vehicle provided.

    Travel: Expected to travel within the region as needed. Overnights as needed.

    Position Description:

    Develops long-term partnerships with clients and promotes industrial boilers and associated equipment and services by performing the following duties.


    • Prospects for potential customers within assigned territory


    • Calls on corporate managers, engineers, architects, or other professional and technical personnel to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products and services offered.


    • Able to create and perform effective technical presentations for Company products.


    • Able to review and explain mechanical and electrical drawings


    • Can prepare technical proposals including detailed quotations of Company products and services.


    • Have good interpersonal skills and good at customer relationship management

    Requirements:


    • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university (MBA a plus) and three plus years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with capital equipment sales background.


    • Attributes: Self driven to perform, emulates humility, modesty, and professionalism. Clayton can teach you the technical aspects of role but not everyone will have right attributes to perform. Must exude motivation to operation in a performance driven environment.


    • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.


    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
