- Works closely with others to ensure work meets ship dates and deadlines.
- Keeps scrap gathered and in scrap bins.
- Operates hand tools and hand trucks.
- Feeds or catches covers, signatures, and sheets into various machines for collating, stitching, trimming, folding, ruling, stapling, roughing, indexing, gluing, and perforating operations.
- Examines stitched, collated, bound, and unbound publications to ascertain that pages are bound in numerical or folio order according to sample copy, and for such defects as imperfect bindings, ink spots, torn, loose, and uneven pages, and loose and uncut threads.
- Wraps product in plastic, using shrink-wrapping machine, packs products in boxes or tubs for transport to booklet press area.
- Follows instructions accurately.
- Coordinates efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers (in all departments) as needed to maximize production efficiencies.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with co-workers.
