Overview
The Resort Controller oversees all accounting and financial matters for Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation, reporting to the Resort President/General Manager, and Boyne Corporate Controller.
A key member of the resort's senior team, this person prepares monthly balance sheets, profit and loss statements, capital budget reports, daily and weekly financial reports, and seasonal operating and capital budgets with the Resort President/General Manager, and senior team divisional leadership.
The Resort Controller supervises local resort revenue accounting, lodging accounting, payroll, accounts payable, condominium association accounting, and general accounting team members, and is a contributing member of Boyne corporate-wide finance and accounting team.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Bachelor's degree in either Accounting, Business or Finance or related field; Graduate Degree and/or CPA certification desired
Resort or service industry background
Strong business and financial analysis skills
Forecasting and budgeting skills and experience
Experience and skills working with Microsoft excel and enterprice accounting software
Experience with a variety of point-of-sale systems desired
Understanding of risk management, employment law and practices
Excellent communication and time management skills
The ability to lead and evaluate a team
Strong problem-solving skills
