    Job Description

    About the role:


    The Financial Analyst role is important to the support structure of the Los Angeles Manufacturing Facility, Takeda's premier plasma fractionating and purification plant.

    You will support operations, contributing to the planning of manufacturing variances, inventory, and operating expenses (OPEX) at the Los Angeles site.

    You will not only fulfill the responsibilities listed but is also expected to contribute to the enhancement of process flows and analytical tool development to better serve our needs.

    The on-site presence of this role enables direct collaboration with operations teams, implementing new processes and having a direct, positive impact on the facility.


    How you will contribute:
    Support month-end close activities, analysis, and planning for the designated areas.

    Aid in the management of financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for all financial aspects of the site.

    Help monitor, report, plan, and analyze all respective manufacturing variances and inventory.

    Collaborate with Operations Business Partners to evaluate performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.


    Assist Management with strategic financial analyses and model development for programs such as COGS reduction, process streamlining, and inventory optimization.


    Support the implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) tools like PowerBI, providing forward-looking insights and decision support focused on problem-solving and continuous improvement in manufacturing.

    Adapt corporate digital finance tools for site-specific use.

    Improve existing processes by eliminating waste and reducing cycle times.


    What you bring to Takeda:

    Required:

    High School Diploma or GED plus 6+ years of related experience OR bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other related technical field and 3+ years of related experience.


    Desired:
    A post-graduate qualification (MSc., PhD or MBA).

    In this role, you may:
    In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the facility.

    General office environment


    May work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.

    This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

    Will need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

    May work in a cold, hot or wet environment.

    May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
