    Job Description

    Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years social worker experience required.

    Location: Coal Center, PA

    Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday

    Caseload: K-12

    Requirements:

    • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
    • Must possess all necessary credentials from the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) within the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
    • Clinical certification and licensure as a Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania.
    • pletion of a clinical program and clinical practicum as part of the educational requirements.
    • Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or clinical settings is preferred.
    • Strong munication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school staff, and munity agencies.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct social work services to students in the K-12 school setting, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
    • Conduct prehensive assessments to identify students' strengths, challenges, and service needs.
    • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support students' academic and social-emotional success.
    • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
    • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions to address issues such as family problems, peer relationships, and mental health concerns.
    • Advocate for students and families to access munity resources and support services as needed.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to support student progress and coordinate services.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress notes.
    • Stay informed about best practices, legal requirements, and policies related to school social work and student welfare.
