Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a System Architecture Engineer to join our team

Responsibilities
Design the video architecture for the vehicle
Design the network architecture used for the vehicle
Design the time synchronization strategy to be used
Work with the team on evaluating the needs for the power architecture to be used
Define the key component interfaces (CI) and maintain the data source

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
7 years related engineering experience sought but will consider fewer years with an advanced degree
Only United States Citizens can be considered
Must Possess or be able to obtain a security clearance
Experience with developing system requirements, system specifications, requirement traceability, and requirements compliance preferred
Strong skills in the development of a System Architecture that is compliant with the System Requirements and System Design Definition
Capital Enterprise Experience (or similar software tool)
Ability to develop a system model and system architecture using SysML preferred
Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required
Ability to work in office, shop, test lab, and test site environments, and in vehicles

Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles
Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)
Work experience in the Defense Industry and working with the US government as a customer.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Works well in a team and individually
