Nutrition Ambassador - Titusville

Job summary

Under the direct supervision of the Patient Services Manager and Food Service Supervisors, the Ambassador role is to obtain patient menu selections, assemble and deliver patient trays and attend to patients' food needs in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Visits patients, in-person, to obtain meal orders by using iPad and Breadbox program.
• Follows up with all missed patients with a return visit or telephone call to the room prior to meal service, to assure orders are taken.
• Always follows AIDET+ (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration Explanation Thank You) plus the 4 P's (pain potty possessions position) guidelines for nonclinical care partners in all interactions with the patient.
• Pays special attention to all high risk trays altered consistencies and food allergies Focuses on tray presentation accuracy Delivers patient trays timely according ass prescribed meal delivery schedule Assures maintenance hot cold food temperatures during tray delivery Uses 3 patient identifier name birth date any food allergies Assures that all patients' meal needs are handled takes responsibility for patient satisfaction during shift assigned floors Records pantry refrigerator freezer temperatures assigned floors/units twice daily takes appropriate action discrepancies Corrective actions recorded needed note actions taken Knowledgeable tray line operations therapeutic diets customer service computer iPad printer usage Practices safe handling HACCP compliance preparation serving foods Assists other team members asks help when needed Participates daily huddles assists management appropriate performing tasks conducive efficient effective operations department Effectively communicates co-workers successful completion duties Performs similar related duties assigned Knows fire disaster safety procedures regulations pertains work area
