Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits as you start your career on a specialized neurological unit. This is an excellent unit to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. You will work with our interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and more. Being a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitor Unit in the region, we see many acute and complex patients. In this Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, you will work with a specialty team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat seizures using state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values nurses' skills, talents, and compassion for our patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to neurological patients
• Utilize telemetry skills in monitoring patient health
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
• Assist in evaluations and treatments utilizing advanced technology

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of nursing experience
• RN License (New York License ONLY)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Telemetry experience is required
• NIHSS certification is highly preferred
