Job description
Duties
You will operate cranes to move ammunition, missiles, heavy equipment, machinery beams, lumber, crated or packed material, and similar items.
You will maintain crane equipment, performing such tasks as replacing spark plugs and fan belts, and cleaning and lubricating parts of cranes.
You will provide and implement plans to ensure material handling equipment (MHE) and ordnance handling equipment (OHE) are certified, inspected, and tested in accordance with appropriate regulations.
You will receive, examine, segregate, process, store, and issue fleet returned ordnance materials of all types.You will be a designated certifying official and provide testing and licensing services for personnel who will be operating cranes.
You will maintain crane history files in accordance with instructions.You will ensure conformance to all specified technical requirements and safety of ordnance material and operations. Requirements Conditions of employment

You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test.
You will be subject to random testing.You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.This position requires the ability to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 50 pounds in weight
This is a Mission Essential position.
You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
This position requires that the selectee have visual acuity and accurate color discrimination.You will be required to obtain and maintain a current CDL-A license.
