**Poultry Plant Shift Manager (3rd Shift)**

The Shift Manager is primarily responsible for providing leadership and direction to all assigned shift employees, managing daily shift operations while maintaining USDA, QA and plant/company standards regarding quality, safety, and cost.
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities:**
Supervise and manage employees through departmental supervisors ensuring safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance, while producing quality products
Responsible for staffing, and continuous improvement of shift operations though management, training, coaching, leading and supervising staff
Assist with preparation and execution of customer, corporate, and third party audits
Produce and distribute production reports
Control cost and manage resources within established goals
Coordinate operations and activities within and between shifts and departments
Liaison between company and USDA personnel
**Job Requirements:**
High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor degree preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English language skills (reading and writing) required, Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills helpful
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient computer, math and analytical skills
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in poultry or meat processing industry
**Physical/Environmental Factors:**
Cold, damp, wet environment with temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees
Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels
Climb stairs, frequently stoop, kneel, crawl, bend, and lift various weights as needed
Exposure to strong, raw odors
