    Overview:
    Job Summary

    Responsible to oversee the Coding Specialists team for PBS and CHS as well as the Data Integrity Specialist (DIS) team to ensure compliance with all processes.

    Provide training and tools needed to work productively, accurately and within compliance and monitor the Key Performance Indicators of the teams to achieve targeted department goals.


    Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
    Interact with internal team members, clients and vendors to ensure high levels of responsiveness and resolution of identified issues.
    Develop and implement standard operating procedures to address areas of opportunities based on identified trends to improve efficiency of the process used in performing tasks; Develop strategies for meeting department objectives
    Continually review department processes to determine ways to increase productivity and identify process opportunity trends and recommend ways to improve efficiencies
    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state laws, rules, and regulations related to patient account service activities.
    Actively participate on assigned projects fulfilling task assignments while meeting deadlines
    Assist in establishing performance standards, policies and procedures, and compliance with government regulations.
    Manage implementation of new client services to ensure smooth, timely, and effective processing of accounts.

    Supervisory Responsibilities
    Directly supervises employees in the Healthcare Operations department.

    Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.


    Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.


    For Exempt Managers:


    Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

    Education & Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Bachelors degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university preferred
    5 years of progressive experience in supervisory level position.
    5 years Coding experience; required
    Advanced knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT coding conventions and guidelines; required
    Advanced knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding HIPAA, collections, filing insurance claims, and filing for reimbursement from federal health care programs; required
    Advanced knowledge of medical and billing terminology; required
    Skills
    Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
    Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels

    Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning skills
    Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business situations, strategies, theory, processes, management, and operations

    Advanced customer service and phone skills
    Computer Skills
    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC); required
    Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer (CACO); preferred
    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and Training; preferred

    Pay Range:
    USD $80, USD $125,350.00 /Yr.
