    Position Overview:

    Fully knowledgeable on the day-to-day activities, resolves complex issues where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines, and practice. May be considered a subject matter expert for one or more functions or processes. Focus on operational execution and occasional broader planning within areas of expertise. May have direct reports, and subordinate staff.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Assists Vice President and Assistant Vice Presidents of Loan Operations with coordinating and approving the daily activities in Loan Operations Department. Helps monitor and anticipate the work volume, set priorities, and distribute work among subordinates. Ensure that all work is processed and documented in compliance with the binding agreement(s) and the Branchs policies and procedures.
    2. Ensures data integrity of all systems and files in support of the operations conducted and that an appropriate audit trail is established.
    3. Trains the subordinates and assesses their work for accuracy and timeliness and makes recommendations to the Department Manager on staffing-related issues.
    4. Helps coordinate workflow and information flow between Loan Operations and other departments in the Bank.
    5. Identifies and reports operational irregularities to the Department Manager without delay and takes initiative in resolving exceptions.
    6. Assists the Department Manager, Vice President, and Assistant Vice Presidents of Loan Operations with establishing and implementing new workflow and/or procedures to improve the Departments performance.
    7. Assists the Department Manager, Vice President, and Assistant Vice Presidents of Loan Operations in updating various manuals in the Department.
    8. Assists Department Manager and Vice President in reviewing non-exempt staff's job performance.
    9. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    1. Bachelors degree in business, economics, or accounting or its equivalent with 5+ years of related experience
    2. 5+ years of experience in loan operations in a bank. Bilateral/syndicated / agency loan experience is required. Loan IQ experience (version 6 or later) is highly preferred.
    3. 2+ years of supervisory experience.
    4. Solid knowledge of accounting theory/bookkeeping and credit instruments.
    5. Good mathematical aptitude.
    6. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Email and Calendar, Word, Excel, Access, Teams, and SharePoint.
    7. Good oral and written communication skills.
    8. Good organizational skills.
    9. Good time management, including punctuality and attendance.
    10. Ability to multitask. Flexibility and teamwork.
