Performs otherclulesappointments toinclude arrive appointments in MaestroCare, checkoutn-sterile dressings, promoting patient/familyunders tanding of the educatng electrocardiograms, removing sutures/ staples,ch anging sterile and nory specimens, performing basic laboratory test in t heclinic/office, takiional content and his/her involvement in theplan of care, and documentinients, and prepares patients for examinationsand pr ocedures.Patient caretion, personal hygiene and basic health andsafety p recautions applicableintegral member of theinterdisciplinary healthcare team in providing dirsupport responsibilities may include assisting the medicaland nursing ss andcollections on account balances; correspondence , and ordering clinininstructions generally acquired through a high scho ol education andmedid.Working knowledge of procedures and techniques inv olved in administeriinsuranceforms, handles billing, bookkeeping to incl ude receiving copay

    Work Performed

    Clinical responsibilities:T he CMA takes medical histories and records vital signs, explainstreatmen t procedures to patkills.Work requires the ability to understand and fol low oral and writtepatients, andreferral scheduling; arranges for hospit al admissions andcal assistant programming.Heavy lifting and the ability to transport strle techniques and special procedures that areapplicable to work performeetcher and wheelchairpatients may be required.Working k nowledge of steringroutine and special treatments to patients.Working kn owledge of sanitastaffTyping skillsMedical terminologyLevels II and III -- Ability to indlaboratoryservices, updates and files patient medical r ecords, fills outsh and maintain effective working relationships withpat ients and clinicAble to document and communicate pertinentinformationAbi lity to establiect patient care.     Minimum Qualifications Education

    Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program strongly preferred. High School diploma or GED graduation required

    Experience

    Work generally requires six months of experience in the healthcare setting. Education in a health related field can be used as a substitute for the experience.

    Degrees, Licensures, Certifications

    Must be fully certified as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA) within 18 months of hire.
