    Description
    Looking for an experienced and dedicated Neurologist to provide high-quality locum coverage for a reputable healthcare facility.

    This critical role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in Petoskey, MI, while enjoying flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

    As a key team member, you will deliver comprehensive neurological evaluations, interpret radiologic exams, perform procedures such as lumbar punctures and EEGs, and participate in hospital and outpatient clinic care.

    Your expertise will help ensure seamless patient management during assigned shifts, including night call and weekend coverage, making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.


    Required Skills:
    Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
    Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology
    Valid medical license to practice in Michigan
    Proven experience in outpatient and hospital neurology settings
    Ability to interpret EEGs and radiologic exams
    Skilled in lumbar punctures, brain death examinations, and evoked potentials
    Excellent clinical judgment and patient management skills
    Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
    Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Cerner


    Nice to Have Skills:
    Previous experience in a hospital-based neurology department
    Additional certifications in neurophysiology or advanced neurology procedures
    Experience with tele-neurology consultations
    Bilingual proficiency


    Preferred Education and Experience:
    Doctoral degree in medicine with specialty training in neurology
    Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience
    Prior locum or temporary physician experience preferred


    Other Requirements:
    Availability to start in March 2026 and commit through June 2026
    Valid Michigan medical license and DEA registration
    Immunization records including Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, COVID-19, TB, and Tdap
    Ability to provide onsite hospital coverage, outpatient clinics, and after-hours call
    Willingness to work flexible hours, including night and weekend shifts
    Use of DocTime for clocking in and out; no paper timesheets
    No third-party lodging bookings; adherence to travel and expense policies
    Commitment to maintaining professional standards and patient confidentiality
