    News & World Report, is seeking an associate attorney with a minimum of 2 years' experience in general liability insurance defense litigation including premises, NY Labor Law, and/or vertical transportation.

    The candidate would be joining a growing, dynamic firm with more than 200 attorneys nationwide.

    This is a unique opportunity for a motivated attorney seeking to grow with an expanding practice.

    The successful candidate will be expected to handle all aspects of a case including conducting discovery, corresponding with clients and counsel, depositions, motion practice, oral argument, court conferences, mediations/settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.


    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Represent clients in a wide range of insurance defense matters.
    Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from inception through resolution.
    Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
    Communicate with clients and provide status reports.

    Qualifications


    • JD from an ABA accredited Law School.
    • Admitted in NY.
    • A minimum of 2 years of insurance defense and general liability litigation experience.
    • Outstanding research, writing and oral advocacy skills.
    • Excellent academic credentials and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously.
    The total annual compensation range for this position is $105,000- $120,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
