Job summary
The Electrical Systems Operator operates and maintains systems and equipment including breakers substations switchgear power distribution units motor control centers uninterruptable power supplies panel boards variable frequency drives generators transformers programmable logic controllers PLCs and other electrical equipment.Responsibilities
- Use the Government's electrical system management software SCADA to operate control all electrical systems in a safe efficient effective manner Monitor controlled systems for performance problems.
- Evaluate day day operations on all electrical distribution components generators UPSs switches motor control centers variable frequency drives monitored electrical systems Coordinate plant changes with building management maintenance operations personnel.
