Job Description

As an associate on our Class Action, Mass Tort & Government Representation team, you will play a crucial role in managing and litigating complex cases, contributing to all phases of litigation from initiation through discovery and trial. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with clients and senior attorneys, providing a unique chance to develop your legal skills in a supportive and challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research and legal analysis to support case strategies
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, briefs, motions, and memoranda
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Participate in discovery processes, including taking and defending depositions, interrogating witnesses, and gathering and analyzing documentary evidence
• Assist with trial preparation, including drafting trial briefs, preparing exhibits, and organizing witness testimony
• Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and obtaining necessary information and documents
• Contribute to the firm's knowledge base by staying current with developments in relevant law and sharing insights with colleagues

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• 1-3 years of experience in litigation, with preference given to experience in class actions, mass torts, or complex civil litigation
• Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and cases
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
• Commitment to ethical legal practice
