Job summary
This position requires 100% travel.The Senior Superintendent is responsible for the daily operation of a job site, including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment.
- Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction based on knowledge of available tools and equipment
- Interacts with the Project Manager to determine the project schedule; develops and utilizes 'look ahead' schedules to assess progress and spot upcoming issues
- Coodinates pre-construction meeting with Project Manager prior to mobilization Directs procurement tools materials delivered at specified times conforming work schedules Ensures all parties informed about construction issues: meets supervisory personnel planning executing work procedures interpreting specifications coordinating phases construction preventing delays meets craft personnel updates them about current situations gathers input solutions meets subcontractors review scope work schedule advises subs prior each phase do not know inspects works ensure that conforms specifications Construction Schedules Works super visory labor representatives resolve complaints grievances within project workforce Confers supervisors engineering people inspectors suppliers resolves problems improves methods Inspects in progress ensures that conforms Specifications Work Schedules Manages projects based reports used costs adjusts accordingly (New only.)
