Program Director Qualified Candidates:
Established general surgery residency program started in 2018/2019
Current/prior academic appointment as Associate Program Director or Program Director within the past five (5) years
Minimum of three (3) years of formal academic medicine positions and training program teaching and administration experience
Documented scholarly activity in the form of research, publications, poster presentations, journals, book chapters, etc. We offer three (3) categorical surgical positions per year who rotate through general, trauma acute care, burn, vascular, pediatric, transplant, and pancreatic-hepatobiliary surgery
Incoming physician will have the opportunity to apply for faculty appointment with University of South Florida College of Medicine
Will be responsible for administration and operations; teaching and scholarly activity; resident recruitment and selection, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary action; supervision of residents; and resident education in the context of patient care
Must be American Board-certified in general surgery
