    Your Responsibilities

    As part of your role, you will assist guests, whether on the phone or in person, courteously and professionally. You'll manage reservations and seating for daily service, all while ensuring top-notch service for our guests. You'll be an advocate for the restaurant, creating incredibly personal experiences and fostering relationships with guests that will keep them coming back.

    Some key responsibilities include:

    • Welcome all guests warmly, be informed about the area, and offer assistance when needed.
    • Ensure fair and efficient seating of guests.
    • Handle paperwork accurately, maintain and organize the host stand.
    • Answer incoming calls, make reservations correctly for guests.
    • Take room service orders as necessary.
    • Check and clean floors and tables, assist in clearing tables.
    • Support servers by refilling drinks when required.
    • Fulfill other requests related to restaurant and customer service for guests.
    • We all wear multiple hats at Kimpton. There may be times when you need to take on duties beyond this description, as we all pitch in.

    Your Qualifications

    • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is desirable.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
    • Capability to learn, memorize, and communicate product, menu, and allergy details to guests.
    • Familiarity with or willingness to learn the restaurant's point-of-sale and reservation systems.
    • Strong communication skills, a genuine love for hospitality, and a passion for creating unique and memorable experiences for guests.
    • Food Handler Certification may be required.
    • Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

    The hourly pay for this position ranges from $19.08 to $20.08. This scale applies specifically to jobs in West Hollywood, CA. This range is our best estimate of what we would offer for this role at this time. Actual pay might differ, either higher or lower, and the range could change in the future. Where an employee falls within the pay scale will depend on factors like education, qualifications, experience, location, performance, and business needs.

    We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, and 401k plans for eligible staff members.
