Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Lending to join our team and lead our lending department.
As the Director of Lending, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of lending operations, including loan origination, underwriting, and portfolio management.
You will play a key role in developing and implementing lending strategies to drive growth while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute lending strategies to achieve business objectives and drive loan portfolio growth.
Lead a team of lending professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development.
Oversee the loan origination process, including underwriting, credit analysis, and approval decisions, to ensure quality and consistency.
Monitor loan portfolio performance, identify trends, and implement strategies to mitigate risk and maximize profitability.
Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
Communicate to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
Collaborate with other departments, such as compliance and operations, to ensure alignment and adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Market bank products to individuals and firms, promoting bank services that may meet customers' needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in lending, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of lending principles, credit analysis, and risk management practices.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to lending.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal personnel and external clients.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
