    Description

    The Restorative Nurse Aide/Rehab Tech isresponsible for assisting in the development, and implementation of therestorative nursing program for the facility. The restorative nursing staff arethe liaisons between formalized therapy and nursing. The restorative aide willbe responsible for providing direct care while utilizing techniques within theestablished program that aim to maintain or improve patients'eating/swallowing, self-care, and mobility independence.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists the Restorative Nurse andparticipates in the development, organization and implementation of restorativenursing programs for patients.

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to have difficult conversations while maintaining compassion
    • Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept
    • Must be self-motivated and have excellent follow-through
    • Have the ability to multi task and keep a calm demeanor even in chaotic situations
    • Be a champion of positivity and high morale
    • Must have experience with restorative and rehabilitation services
    • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a CNA in the applicable state
    • Works closely with the nursingdepartment. Sees that specific recommendations are carried through. May be Involved ingroup and individual therapy treatments
    • Assist patients in the dining roomand take patient"'s weight as needed
    • Assist the nursingdepartment with needs such as; helping patients completeADLS and to ambulate
    • Manage temperature logs includingrefrigerator, freezer, hydrocullator
    • File paperwork and provide papersto be scanned in to medical records
    • Communicate effectively and with curtesy to patients, visitors and allstaff
    • Other duties as needed by therestorative nursing and therapy departments
    QUALIFICATONS:

    CERTIFICATES,LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
    • Current, Colorado unrestricted CNA license
    • CPR/BLS
    PHYSICALDEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    • Employee is required to hear, speak, sit,stand, push, pull, squat, bend, stoop and walk daily. The position islocated in healthcare facility environment.
    • Employee may lift up to 40 pounds and transfer 100 plus pounds.
    • Must be in good general health anddemonstrate emotional stability in order to cope with the mental and emotionalstress of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enableindividuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position
