Hiring Opportunity:
Dayton OH

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join a top metal forming company, known for their close tolerance hand spinning, CNC metal spinning, hydroforming, metal stamping and punching, and laser cutting.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for being very hands on throughout the production process and will mainly be responsible for tooling design and product design.

Successful candidates will be project based focus with hands on experience throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

Design, recommend, and advise on manufacturing tools, fixtures, and fabrication equipment including repair and build
Design for stamping dies, locating fixtures, and machining fixtures
Provide trouble shooting of metal forming operations, including spinning, laser, hydroforming, and welding
Create and maintain inspection drawings of parts
Create and maintain Process Inspection Records (PIRs)

Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of design software (Inventor, Solidworks, etc.)
Manage time with little to no supervision, selfmotivated
AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment
Minimum three (3) years of experience
