    The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Lead Licensed Clinical Social Worker (GS to work in support of the 5th Bomb Wing True North program on Minot AFB in Minot, ND.


    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the installation clinical social worker at the 5th Bomb Wing for True North.

    Serves as a member of the True North embedded behavioral health team directly supporting the Line of the Air Force (LAF) with the goal of building resiliency, enhancing human performance and improving unit mission effectiveness.

    Provides a full range of professional social work services within operational Air Force (AF) units.

    Has clinical oversight of True North embedded social work which emphasizes education and prevention, psychosocial assessment and diagnosis, and evidenced-based intervention and treatment.

    • Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
    • Possess a current, unrestricted license to practice clinical social work independently in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S Virgin Islands
    • As a condition of employment, government civilian providers must meet all applicable credentialing requirements IAW local military treatment facility guidelines and be fully qualified to perform within the scope of their practice
    • Professional knowledge of social work practices, principles, theories, and administrative requirements to be able to apply them in a clinical or occupational setting.
    • Sophisticated understanding of behavioral risk management and ability to engage appropriate protections as needed when risk of harm to self or others is present.
    • Ability to provide guidance and consultation services to medical professionals and military leaders, and facilitate referrals to military or communitybased human service agencies and resources; Protective Services or financial aid organizations.
