The National Institute for Fitness and Sport is a premier fitness management company providing the best staff to lead our client's residents. Join us in Dexter, MI as a Group Fitness Instructor

Schedule: Tuesday and Thursdays 10:30am-12:30pm (two land-based classes).

The Instructor educates and leads participants in group fitness classes with a focus towards assisting them in achieving their fitness goals in a safe and friendly manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Demonstrates proper and safe use of equipment
• Pays constant attention to fitness level and age group of class and teaches accordingly
• Exhibits professionalism when dealing with class participants, facility members, and staff
• Limits securing a substitute to an average of once a month
• Maintains attendance records for each class per the direction of the Fitness Center manager.
• Projects enthusiasm, motivation, a positive personality and a willingness to help internal and external customers
• Uses appropriate format for every class; adds variety to classes
• Demonstrates work ethic, ingenuity, customer care, and attention to detail
• Maintains familiarity with and abides by the policies stated in both the NIFS Employee Handbook as well as the CFM Operations Manual

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current Group Fitness Certification and/or post-high school education which demonstrates appropriate knowledge base for safely teaching group exercise classes
• Current CPR certification required
• Trained in Universal Precautions annually (provided by NIFS)
• May, at any time, be required to pass a background check and TB skin test
